• Anping Yuguang Island
  'Fishing lights flickering, the half-moon sinks into the river.' Yuguang Island has a beautiful name. Separated by the Yuguang Bridge, it is an isolated little island in Anping. Come to Yuguang Island and visit Taiwan's only Milkfish Theme Museum. It is a must-visit spot in Tainan. With its charming Crescent Bay and the towering, lush forest that looks stunning after the rain, it is the backyard of Tainan locals—a place to 'escape the dust without leaving the city' for stress relief and healing.
  
  
• Anping Old Street
  Known as the 'First Street in Taiwan,' Anping Old Street was the first street built by the Dutch in Anping over 300 years ago. Early street designs were only meant for people and carts, so the lanes are not very wide. Many tourists visiting Anping inevitably enter this ancient street. The crowded and lively atmosphere is the norm for Anping Old Street—it wouldn't feel like Anping Old Street without it. Various old shops line the street, and both domestic and international tourists weave through them, searching for treasures. Occasionally looking up at the old houses, you might spot Wind Lion Gods sitting on the roofs or Sword Lions on the lintels, which is also part of the fun of exploring Anping Old Street.
  
  
• Sicao Green Tunnel
  The mangroves on both sides grow toward the center, weaving together to form a dense, semi-circular green canopy. Layer upon layer, they stretch forward into a deep, mysterious corridor, earning the Sicao Green Tunnel the nickname 'Little Amazon.' Tourists from home and abroad flock here, waiting in long lines just to board the bamboo rafts that lead into this fairyland. As you drift slowly along the ripples, the breeze brushes against your cheeks, carrying the warmth of the sun as you traverse this secret urban oasis.
  
  
• Wanpi World Safari Zoo
  Wanpi World is currently the only zoo in Tainan. From the moment you step into the park, you can feel the closeness to the animals. The macaws at the entrance greet you with bobbing heads, and you have the chance to see popular stars like capybaras, giraffes, penguins, servals, and meerkats up close. Besides interacting with animals, there are plenty of amusement facilities in the park, and gazebos and benches are scattered everywhere for visitors to rest. A subtle bond and tacit understanding truly develop between humans and animals over time.   Madou Wa-gui in Southern Taiwan is extremely famous, especially 'Alan Wa-gui' in Madou, which can be called the pride of Wa-gui. It is not far from the Madou Interchange; just get off the interchange and head straight into the city center. The address is No. 179-8, Zhongshan Rd., Madou Dist., Tainan City. Business is booming. They use Indica rice and add ingredients like shiitake mushrooms, eggs, meat, and fried shallots before steaming. The piping hot Wa-gui is delicious, soft, and tender. • Hayashi Department Store
  Focusing on cultural and creative products, Hayashi Department Store sells many limited-edition items found only there. Besides browsing the creative goods, you must not miss the 'flow cage' (elevator): the floor indicator is a rotating dial, which is likely only found at Hayashi Department Store now, preserving an authentic feel. Check out the Torii Shrine on the top floor: it is the only Torii Shrine on top of a department store in Taiwan, so you must go up and see it. Look at the bullet holes left by US military aircraft strafing at the end of WWII: the bullet holes are still clearly visible on the wall, as if time has frozen. This is a heavyweight historic department store in Tainan that you absolutely cannot miss.
