- Tainan Art Museum -

Tainan Art Museum Building 1 is a blend of old and new architecture. The main building was originally the Tainan Police Station, completed in 1931. Designed by Umezawa Sutejiro, a technician from Tainan Prefecture, it is an Art Déco building featuring an eclectic style. The main structure is made of reinforced concrete, while the wings are constructed of red brick and concrete. The exterior walls are primarily decorated with thirteen-groove facing tiles, the colors of which contribute to the elegant style of Building 1. Tainan Art Museum was designated as a municipal historic site in 1998 and is one of the few well-preserved police station buildings in the country.

Building 1 features 10 exhibition rooms, workshops, a light refreshment area, collection storage, and spaces for artifact restoration and inspection. The exhibition space in Building 2 includes 16 exhibition rooms, collection storage, a cross-disciplinary exhibition hall, a children's art center, creative workshops, a souvenir area, a light refreshment area, and a landscape restaurant, with a public parking lot available in the basement. The museum designs diverse educational activities based on permanent exhibitions, special exhibitions, and special festivals, and occasionally launches children's art experience activities. The museum provides nursing rooms, family restrooms, diaper changing tables, and stroller rental services, allowing children and families to have a rich visiting experience at the museum.
