How much is the entrance fee to Cape Point?

The entrance fees for the Cape Point Nature Reserve are set for the 1 November 2024 – 31 October 2025 period. For international visitors, the fee is R455 for adults and R225 for children aged 2-11. South African citizens and residents can expect to pay R105 for adults and R55 for children. These fees grant access to the reserve, which is part of the Table Mountain National Park, and are payable at the entrance gate.

Is Cape Point where the two oceans meet?

While many perceive Cape Point, the southernmost tip of the Cape Peninsula, as the meeting point of the cold Atlantic and warm Indian Oceans, the actual geographic divide between these two oceans is located at Cape Agulhas.

Is it worth visiting Cape Point?

A visit to Cape Point is highly recommended for its breathtaking scenery. It is advisable to go early in the day. The site culminates at the summit above the Cape of Good Hope. From the parking area, a walk or a ride on the funicular is required to reach the lighthouse. Please note the funicular is sometimes out of service and bus shuttles may be provided as an alternative.
