    • This is a comprehensive tea ceremony experience plan where you can rent out an entire important traditional Machiya house for a small group and learn the flow of a tea ceremony using the tea room and tea garden. You will learn the entire flow of a tea ceremony, including the nijiriguchi (crawling-in entrance), tsukubai (stone basin), and hishaku (bamboo ladle), as well as sumitemae (charcoal preparation), tea kaiseki cuisine, nakadachi (intermission), koicha (thick tea) preparation, usucha (thin tea) preparation, how to whisk matcha, etiquette for drinking, and the history and background of the tea ceremony.
