Begin your unforgettable adventure in Krakow and set off early in the morning towards Zakopane, the charming winter capital of Poland, located at the foot of the spectacular Tatra Mountains. During the journey, admire the changing scenery as the historic streets of Krakow gradually give way to peaceful villages, rolling hills, and beautiful mountain landscapes.
Upon arrival in the Zakopane region, discover the unique traditions and hospitality of the Polish highlanders. Visit a traditional wooden cottage, where you will have the opportunity to experience the authentic local atmosphere, taste the famous smoked oscypek cheese, and sample regional drinks. This is a perfect introduction to the culture, flavours, and customs that make the Podhale region so special.
Next, take the funicular railway to the top of Gubałówka, one of Zakopane’s most popular viewpoints. From the summit, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Tatra Mountains, Zakopane, and the surrounding valleys. Spend approximately one hour taking photographs, walking along the ridge, browsing local stalls, or simply relaxing while admiring the impressive mountain scenery.
After returning to the centre of Zakopane, enjoy free time on the famous Krupówki Street—the lively heart of the town. Walk among traditional wooden buildings, local restaurants, souvenir shops, and colourful market stalls. You can taste regional specialities, purchase handmade crafts and gifts, or unwind with a coffee in one of the cosy cafés while soaking up the vibrant atmosphere of this popular mountain resort.
For an additional experience, you may choose to visit the Chochołów Thermal Baths, one of the largest thermal complexes in the region. Relax in warm mineral-rich pools while enjoying beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The thermal baths are optional, are not included in the tour price, and must be paid for separately on site.
At the end of the day, sit back and relax during the comfortable journey back to Krakow. Return with wonderful photographs, new experiences, and unforgettable memories of Zakopane, traditional highlander culture, and the magnificent Polish Tatra Mountains.
