Leave the large groups behind and step into the heart of Arctic winter on this small-group snowshoe tour in Finnish Lapland. Just outside Levi, Kittila and Ylläs, this guided experience takes you through the quiet beauty of Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park—a landscape of snowy forests, open fells, and frozen lakes.

Departing from Äkäslompolo or a nearby trailhead, we choose the route based on the day’s weather and your group’s ability. Our favourite routes include:

Äkäskero Hill – A peaceful forest trail with a gentle climb to sweeping fell views. Ideal for a relaxed pace, with reindeer tracks and pine forest all around.

Kesänki – A more adventurous route with dramatic Arctic scenery, perfect for those wanting a deeper snowshoe experience.

Äkäsäivo – Known as the “sacred lake” of the Sámi people, this atmospheric trail leads through old pine forests to a frozen canyon lake steeped in myth and natural beauty.

No matter the route, you’ll move at a calm pace, guided by an experienced guide who’ll share stories, track animal prints in the snow, and help you feel at home in the stillness.

Small groups of max 6 guests mean a personal experience, with time for breaks, photos, and warm drinks by the trail.
