Product Info

Begin your experience in front of Shakespeare & Company, one of Paris' most famous independent bookstores. From here, we enter the world of the Left Bank — a place shaped by writers, students and generations of artists who came to Paris in search of inspiration, ideas and a new life.

Then, we cross the bridge and Notre-Dame brings us back through almost 900 years of Parisian history. From its medieval construction to the devastating fire of 2019 and its remarkable restoration, the cathedral has witnessed generations of Parisian life.

Strolling the lively Saint-Michel area, we reach Saint-Séverin, one of the finest Gothic churches in the Latin Quarter. Its architecture and peaceful atmosphere offer a glimpse of medieval Paris, before the remains of Cluny's Roman Baths take us almost 2,000 years further back — to Lutetia, when people gathered here to socialize, exercise and exchange ideas in the Roman city.

From ancient Paris, we arrive at the intellectual heart of the neighborhood: the Sorbonne. For centuries, students from across Europe came here to study, debate and shape new ideas about society. As a former Sorbonne student, your guide will share a personal perspective on the traditions, atmosphere and student life that still give the Latin Quarter its identity, as well as its role in major moments such as May 1968.

The story continues at the Panthéon, where a former church became France's national mausoleum. Here, figures such as Voltaire, Rousseau, Marie Curie and Joséphine Baker are remembered, inviting us to ask a timeless question: who deserves to be remembered?

Nearby, Saint-Étienne-du-Mont reveals another side of the neighborhood, with its distinctive architecture and connection to Saint Geneviève, the patron saint of Paris since the 5th century.

We then slow down at Place de la Contrescarpe, surrounded by cafés and historic streets. This is our **break**, a chance to experience the neighborhood at a more relaxed Parisian pace. Discover the café culture of the Left Bank, where writers, artists, students and intellectuals gathered to exchange ideas, and take some time for a coffee or drink.

After the break, we continue towards the Luxembourg Garden, one of Paris' most beloved parks. Away from the busiest tourist streets, discover a more everyday side of Paris as locals read, walk, meet friends and play pétanque. Learn about the controversial story of the Luxembourg Palace before ending the experience in the peaceful atmosphere of the gardens.

Limited to 8 guests, this is a relaxed and personal way to experience the Latin Quarter — connecting its iconic landmarks with the history, ideas and everyday life that have shaped it.
