Day 1: Volcanoes National Park, Gorilla Trekking, and Gorilla Guardians Village

Begin your 4-Day tour at 4:30am, with transfer to Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival at Park office, receive a briefing from park Guides before beginning Gorilla trek.

Day 2: Golden Monkey Trekking Adventure and Return to Kigali

After an early breakfast, set off once again for Volcanoes National Park for another unforgettable primate experience.

Following a guide briefing, trek into the beautiful bamboo forests in search of the rare and endangered golden monkeys, found only in the Virunga Mountains. these lively primates are incredibly playful, constantly leaping between bamboo stems and tree branches.

Once you find the troop, enjoy an hour observing their fascinating behavior as they feed, play, and interact in the forest. Their speed and curiosity create incredible opportunities for wildlife photography and unforgettable memories. After completing the trek, enjoy lunch before driving back to Kigali.

Day 3: Akagera National Park and Lake Ihema Boat Cruise

After breakfast, depart Kigali for Akagera National Park, Rwanda's only savannah national park.

Upon arrival, embark on a relaxing boat cruise on the beautiful Lake Ihema, one of the park's most wildlife-rich areas. Glide peacefully across the lake while watching pods of hippos wallowing in the water, giant Nile crocodiles basking along the shores, and elephants or buffaloes gathering at the water's edge.

The lake is also a paradise for bird lovers, with opportunities to spot African fish eagles, kingfishers, herons, cormorants, jacanas, and many other colorful species. As the sun begins to set, transfer to your lodge and enjoy a peaceful evening.

Day 4: Big Five Game Drive and Return to Kigali

Wake before sunrise for the highlight of your Akagera adventure—an exciting Big Five safari game drive.

Travel across the park's spectacular landscapes with your professional safari guide as you search for Africa's legendary Big Five: lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinoceroses.

Beyond the Big Five, keep your eyes open for graceful giraffes, zebras, topis, impalas, waterbucks, elands, warthogs, hyenas, baboons, vervet monkeys, and hundreds of bird species that thrive throughout the park.
