This tour is primarily a local tour for Japanese speakers. The tour conductor will communicate in Japanese, but necessary information will be provided in English/Chinese in writing. In case of emergencies, translation apps on tablets will be used.
At the meeting point, staff will be waiting for you with a 'Hankyu Travel' sign (board or flag). Please check the course name and complete the check-in under the representative's name. Please note that check-in will only take place once all members of the party have arrived.
This course does not include a guide. The tour conductor will manage the tour itinerary (they will not provide sightseeing guidance). Any sightseeing brochures distributed by the tour conductor are generally in Japanese.
Depending on the number of participants, you may be required to share seats on local buses or at lunch venues, or be seated in front/behind other group members. Thank you for your understanding.
Ages 6 and up are charged the same as adults. Because there is about 4km of walking, infants (under 6 years old) cannot participate.
The schedule above may be subject to changes in itinerary, sightseeing locations, order of visits, meal contents, or return times due to train/bus schedules, weather, local conditions, or road conditions. Meeting times are in Japan Standard Time and must be strictly adhered to. If you do not arrive by the meeting time, the company and the tour conductor will not contact you, and the tour will depart as scheduled.
All photos are for illustrative purposes only. Admission fees for each temple and shrine are to be paid by the individual if entering.
Please wear warm clothing and comfortable, broken-in walking shoes. ■Walking distance: approx. 4km (Mt. Koya area)
You cannot choose your train seat or car. Group members may be separated into different cars. Bringing bento boxes into cars 1 and 2 is prohibited. The start date for GRAN Tenku operations may be subject to change.
No chartered bus will be used. Local transportation will be on foot and via local bus using a one-day pass. As we will be using local buses, you will be sharing the ride with other passengers. Local buses on Mt. Koya have non-reserved seating, so you may not be able to get a seat.
