  • 01. Check-in and Explanation (10 minutes): Meet at Nozaki Mairi Park for an explanation of the chopstick making process, tool usage, safety precautions, and an introduction to Japanese chopstick culture.

  • 02. Material and Design Selection (20 minutes): Choose from 7 types of wood (Walnut, Mansonia, Locust, Black Walnut, Hinoki, Cherry, Zhu Cherry) and select from 5 laser-engraved patterns or have your name engraved.

  • 03. Carving and Shaping (30 minutes): Use a plane to carve the chopsticks, shaping them to fit your hand perfectly and feeling the warm texture of the wood.

  • 04. Laser Engraving (10 minutes): Use a laser to precisely engrave your chosen pattern or name.

  • 05. Lacquering and Stroll (40 minutes): Final lacquering process. While waiting, you can take a walk in the park garden or visit the 1,300-year-old Nozaki Kannon Temple (about a 5-minute walk).

  • 06. Trial and Commemorative Photos (10 minutes): Use your newly finished chopsticks for a bean-picking game to test them out and take photos.
