Monterey: 8-Hour Rockfishing Trip with Gear for Purchase｜United States

Set out from Old Fisherman’s Wharf in Monterey and begin your 8-hour rockfishing adventure with a warm welcome from our experienced captain and crew. After a quick safety orientation and fishing overview, we cruise out into the rich waters of Monterey Bay, passing sea lions, seabirds, and stunning coastal views along the way.

Once we reach fishing grounds, our crew will provide hands-on instruction showing you how to drop your line, feel the bite, and reel in your catch. This trip is beginner-friendly and fully guided, so whether it’s your first time holding a rod or you’re a seasoned angler, you’ll feel confident and supported throughout the day.

If you are going on the 8 hour trip is is HIGHLY recommended that you bring your own lunch/snacks. We only will have chips and candy available for purchase.

You’ll target a variety of rockfish species, and depending on conditions, you may also hook into lingcod or other seasonal bottom fish. The action can be steady and exciting, with multiple opportunities to reel in fish throughout the trip.
