Product Info

Join us for a unique adventure unearthing the incredible creatures from the time of the dinosaurs.
After buried during 80 million years, you can help us to bring back to life the amazing marine animals that roamed around where Manitoba is today.
Giant Mosasaurs and Plesiosaurs, ferocious fishes, enormous turtles, squids and sharks.
You can be the first person to ever see one of them.
The Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre manages a Museum and a Field & Research Station at the Manitoba Escarpment.
Book a Dig Tour this summer season with us for an unforgettable day.
We will start the day with a quick introductory tour at the Museum in Morden, then a short drive in our vehicles to the our dig site at the Manitoba Escarpment to prospect fossils in the sedimentary layers of the Cretaceous.
We will enjoy a lunch (included) from a local restaurant in our Field & Research Station.
During the afternoon, you will be able to dig and uncover new bones from a fossil skeleton we have previously located.
At the end of the day, we will drive back to the Museum in Morden for a tour of our Collections Room and Laboratory to learn what we do with the fossils for restauration, research, 3D scanning and printing, and Museum display.
You will meet Bruce, a Tylosaurus pembinensis, Guinness World Record to the biggest mosasaur in public display, and Official Emblem of Manitoba.
