Day 1: Darwin to Kakadu — Wetlands, Crocs & Sunset Magic
Kick off your adventure with a wildlife cruise through the Mary River Wetlands, where exotic birds fill the skies and you might just spot a lurking saltwater crocodile. Next, immerse yourself in Kakadu’s rich biodiversity and culture at the Bowali Visitor Centre, before experiencing the thrilling drama of Cahills Crossing—a croc-infested waterway where nature reigns supreme.
As daylight fades, ascend Ubirr Rock to witness one of the world’s most incredible Aboriginal rock art galleries, capped off by a breathtaking sunset over the Nadab floodplains that will leave you speechless. After a day packed with awe and adventure, settle into your private bush campsite, enjoy a communal dinner under the stars, and relax in your comfy safari tent or traditional swag.

Day 2: Kakadu’s Waterfalls & Ancient Art — Hike, Swim, Explore
Rise early and prepare for a day of heart-pumping hikes through the lush monsoon rainforests of Kakadu. You’ll be rewarded with plunges into pristine waterfalls and plunge pools—visiting one of the iconic watering holes like Jim Jim Falls, Gunlom Falls, Maguk (Barramundi Gorge), or the hidden Motor Car Falls (weather and fitness permitting).
Later, delve into ancient history at Burrungkuy (Nourlangie Rock), where 20,000-year-old Aboriginal rock art tells stories of culture and survival. After exploring these timeless landscapes, return to camp for a well-earned meal, swapping stories by the campfire under a vast, starlit sky.

On your final day, journey to Litchfield National Park, a paradise of towering waterfalls, crystal-clear pools, and rugged escarpments. Cool off in the famous swimming holes at Florence Falls, Buley Rockhole, or Wangi Falls, each nestled in lush tropical surroundings.
Before heading back to Darwin, explore the fascinating Magnetic and Cathedral Termite Mounds, nature’s own architectural marvels standing tall against the savannah backdrop. Arrive back in the city with a heart full of adventure and memories that will last a lifetime.

EXCLUSIONS:
- Sleeping bags – You can hire one from us for $40 AUD (includes cleaning), or feel free to bring your own! Just make sure to arrange payment through our reservations before departure.
- Meals not listed in the itinerary – Don’t worry though, there will be plenty of opportunities to grab a bite along the way. If you’ve got special dietary needs, we recommend bringing snacks since options can be limited in the outback.
- Hotel transfers pre/post-tour – Make your way to the nominated pickup point to get started with the adventure!
- Personal travel insurance – Not a must, but we strongly recommend you have it, just in case.
- Spending money – For anything extra—snacks, drinks, souvenirs, or those special moments on the road.
WHAT TO BRING:
2-3L Refillable water bottle, wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses & sunscreen, beach towel & toiletries, bathers or swimwear, comfortable sturdy hiking shoes (closed shoes), all-weather clothing (extreme conditions day/night), camera, flashlight, headlamp or torch, tropical strength insect repellent, mosquito or fly net (summer months), 15kg overnight bag & small day pack, bring your own sleeping bag & pillow (optional - if staying in a swag), recharge power bank (limited access to power to charge phone or cameras) and money for snack and meals.
CHILD POLICY:
Children aged between 8 to 17 years old must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian at all times and must stay in private twin rooms. Not suitable for infants or children 7 years and under. Not suitable for infants or children 7 years and under, due to safety requirements and the level of fitness required to complete the walks.
WEATHER:
The weather in the Top End of the Northern Territory can fluctuate and be extreme. It is not unheard of for temperatures to reach over 40+ degrees Celsius with high humidity in the dry season and temperatures can drop dramatically in the evening. Please ensure you have checked the average temperatures for the time of year you are travelling and have packed adequate clothing. In the event of rain or inclement weather, your experience will still go ahead, unless contacted by the provider.

- Dietary Requirements - We want to cater to all your dietary needs, but please let us know about any specific requirements when booking. As we head into more remote areas, options can be limited once the tour departs, so early notice is key!
- Medical Conditions - If you have any known medical conditions, please notify us at the time of booking. This tour is physically demanding, requiring a moderate level of fitness and mobility, so we want to make sure you’re fully prepared for the adventure!
- Fitness Level - This tour requires a moderate to advanced level of fitness to complete the walks. Expect daily walks ranging from 2-4 km, often across steep and rocky terrain, with plenty of sun and high humidity. There’s also a longer 9.5 km walk included. Your guide will adjust the pace for safety. If you're over 75, a doctor’s certificate is required, and it must be submitted at least 30 days prior to your departure.
- Age Restrictions - For the younger adventurers, children aged 8-17 must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian at all times. Unfortunately, the tour is not suitable for children aged 7 and under due to safety reasons and the physical demands of the walks.
- Mobility Considerations - This tour isn’t suitable for travellers with mobility challenges, including those using wheelchairs, walkers, prams, or strollers.
- Baggage Limitations - Space on the vehicle is limited, so each traveller can bring one 15 kg travel bag and one 5 kg day bag. If you have larger luggage, it will need to be stored at your hotel during the tour.
- Itinerary Variations - Keep in mind that itineraries may change due to weather conditions, or occasionally sites in the parks may close for cultural reasons or restricted access to swimming holes. We always prioritize safety and aim to offer the best experience for you, no matter the changes!
