Product Info

_A private full-day escape to New Zealand's breathtaking Bay of Islands_

On the east coast of the Far North, the Bay of Islands is one of New Zealand's most beautiful regions — 144 islands scattered across turquoise water, rich Māori heritage (this was among the first areas settled by Māori some 700 years ago), and famously some of the clearest, bluest skies in the world.

This private full-day tour with Auckland & Beyond Tours — a Qualmark Gold and TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice 2024 award winner — takes care of everything. You'll be collected from your Auckland accommodation in a luxurious, air-conditioned Mercedes-Benz (leather seating, WiFi and charging on board) for a scenic three-hour drive north through Northland to Paihia.

From Paihia you'll board a catamaran for a guided cruise through the bay, keeping an eye out for dolphins and other marine life as you sail among the islands. Step ashore on Urupukapuka Island to relax on the beach, enjoy a picnic, or walk to the summit for 360° views, then continue out to Cape Brett and the iconic Hole in the Rock on Motukokako Island (subject to tide and conditions).

After the cruise, sit back for the scenic drive home to Auckland. With a knowledgeable local guide, lunch included and a fully flexible private itinerary, it's a relaxed and memorable way to experience the Far North.
