Experience the best of the Road to Hāna—without the all-day grind—on a 5.5-hour open-air jungle adventure that’s exciting, comfortable, and family-friendly. Ride in Maui’s first true open-air safari-style van (no windows, no glass) for fresh air and unobstructed rainforest views along one of Hawai‘i’s most iconic scenic drives.

Your route showcases lush rainforest, waterfalls, and standout stops. Walk among the Rainbow Eucalyptus at Ke‘anae Arboretum, then take in the dramatic lava coastline and ocean views at the Ke‘anae Peninsula. Enjoy a classic treat stop for fresh banana bread, and pause at Wailua Valley Lookout for sweeping panoramas from mountain to sea. Continue to Pua‘a Kaa Falls at Pua‘a Kaa State Wayside Park, with additional waterfall, rainforest, and scenic photo stops along the way.

The Road to Hāna is a true rainforest. Many days are sunny, but occasional rain is part of what keeps everything vibrant and the waterfalls spectacular. Ponchos are provided so you can stay comfortable if the weather changes. With frequent stops, fewer crowds, and nonstop open-air views, this tour delivers a real-life jungle experience—so you can feel the rainforest, not just drive through it.

Please note: A minimum of 8 guests is required to operate each tour. If your departure has fewer than 8 guests, you’ll be moved to the next available tour or offered a full refund.
