Continue to Soweto, a key centre in the struggle for freedom, where you’ll visit the Hector Pieterson Museum, dedicated to the students who protested against apartheid in 1976. The iconic image of Hector Pieterson became a powerful symbol of the uprising, and June 16 is now commemorated as National Youth Day in his honour.
