With round-trip transfers from Oulu to the harbor in Kemi included, your day runs smoothly from start to finish. During the 4-hour cruise, watch the powerful vessel carve through thick sea ice and admire the spectacular Arctic scenery.

You’ll be welcomed with a non-alcoholic drink before joining a guided tour of the ship, including areas such as the engine room and captain’s bridge. Step onto the frozen sea (weather permitting) and experience the thrill of floating in icy waters while wearing a thermal survival suit. A warm lunch is served on board, and you’ll receive a certificate to mark your adventure.

Relax in the ship’s comfortable lounges or café-restaurant as you take in panoramic winter views. Your ticket also includes access to exhibitions and experiences at the SnowCastle area, adding even more Arctic magic to your day.

  • Meeting point description: Pick-up points from Oulu: 09.40 am Oulu City Hall (Kirkkokatu 2a, Oulu), 09.45 am Scandic City (Saaristonkatu 4, Oulu), 10.00 am Nallikari, turning point/bus stop at Aalto Hotel (Nallikarinranta 10, Oulu). The bus will pick you up outside at the front of your pick-up place. Please be ready and wait outside at least 5 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time. The shuttle bus has 'Icebreaker Sampo Shuttle bus' reading at the front of the windshield.

  • Accessibility:The cruise is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility. Icebreakers are not wheelchair accessible

  • Know in advance:The time slot indicated in the order box refers to the starting time of the Icebreaker cruise. The time of the pick-up is indicated in the meeting point section

  • Walking on the ice might not be available in early winter season cruises due to ice conditions

  • The minimum height required for the ice floating activity is 140 cm

  • Your ticket includes access to exhibitions and experiences in the SnowCastle area

  • It is warm inside the Icebreaker. With appropriate clothing, you can also go outside on the deck to experience the Arctic scenery
