Visit the renowned Majorelle Gardens, this wonderful **tropical garden houses **with fountains, pools, forests of bamboo, cactus and a fabulous private museum collection. Over 15 exclusive **North African** bird species can be found here. Bright, cobalt blue buildings can be seen in the garden which was laid out by a French artist, **Louis Majorelle** and later restored by **Yves Saint Laurent.**

An expression of the timeless aspect of Moroccan life, the **ramparts** dominate Marrakech with their characteristic red stone walls and superb gates. Over 6 miles long, the city ramparts are among Marrakech's main attractions. Well-preserved with a height ranging from approximately 25 to 32 feet, ten gates pierce the wall as entry points. The most well-known of these gates is **Bab Khemis**. Several gates have also been models for other Moroccan cities.
