Known as one of Japan’s three greatest festivals, this magnificent event features elaborately decorated floats parading through the streets of Kyoto accompanied by the traditional sounds of Gion festival music.
Enjoy the procession comfortably from reserved paid seating, allowing you to fully appreciate the breathtaking atmosphere and vibrant summer scenery. Often called a “moving art museum,” the beautifully crafted floats create an unforgettable spectacle unique to Kyoto’s summer tradition.
After the festival, indulge in a lunch buffet featuring around 30 different dishes carefully prepared with seasonal ingredients. Enjoy a wide selection of chef-crafted Japanese and Western-style cuisine.
The tour also includes a visit to “atelier Kyobaum,” one of Kyoto’s largest sweets museums. Discover exhibits themed around Kyoto, matcha, and Baumkuchen while observing the factory production process. You’ll also have time to shop for popular Kyoto sweets and souvenirs.
