Naples: Full-Day City Tour with Pompeii and Sorrento｜Italy

Get picked up from your accommodation, cruise terminal, or Naples Central Station in the morning and begin your tour. Start with 2 hours of sightseeing in a minibus with a small-group tour led by a professional guide. Make your first stop at the cathedral to visit the Royal Chapel of the Treasure of St. Januarius and Santa Restituta. 

Drive to the Town Hall square and see the New Castle, built by the French family of Anjou. Continue on to the Posillipo area and stop at Saint Antonio's Church, where you can see the best view of the city and the bay. Return into the city center and Piazza del Plebiscito. See the front of the Royal Palace, the beautiful church of St. Francesco di Paola in its neoclassic style, the Umberto I Gallery, and the San Carlo Theater.

Next, drive to Pompeii where your tour guide will show the most fascinating places like The Forum, Thermal Baths, Vetti’s house, and “Lupanare”, burnt by volcanic ashes and lapilli during the eruption in 79 A.D.

After the visit, make a brief stop for lunch and depart toward Sorrento's coast. Along the way, admire the medieval castle from which the name of the famous town Castellammare di Stabia comes, the small and enchanting beaches of Vico Equense and Seiano, and typical Mediterranean greenery such as lemon and orange trees.

Stop at the panoramic viewpoint in Meta di Sorrento to look up to the wonderful sight of the bay overlooking the sea. Stop in Sorrento for a brief visit to the town for about 1 hour. Your guide will show you the most renowned places walking through the enchanting narrow streets full of stores and little workshops.

Continue to one of the most scenic places in Sorrento: the Villa Comunale, where you can admire the gulf views and see as far as Punta Campanella and Capri Island. Return to Naples at around 5:15 PM.
