Ugo, one of our local guides, says, ‘The Reggia was commissioned to Luigi Vanvitelli in 1750 by Bourbon King Charles of Naples. You’ll get to trace its 100-year-old construction and discover what inspired this world-class architect and designer to produce such a masterpiece.’

Inside, climb past the marble lions of the Grand Staircase and discover the secret of the painted dome – a false ceiling used for a musical surprise. Continue to the Royal Appartments and Throne Room decorated with frescoes, baroque furniture and lots of gold. You’ll also see the Queen’s Bathroom, ‘an escape from court gossip. Even the painted angel decor have their eyes closed to ensure her privacy', says local guide Ugo. Finally, the Court Theatre, a mini version of Naples’ Teatro San Carlo will leave you in awe.

You will be transported by a shuttle to the English Gardens, where you can follow the turquoise pools of the gardens up to the immense Great Waterfall. ‘Designed as a telescopic illusion, this walkway gives visitors a sense of infinity’, says local guide Ugo. Your guide will bring classical mythology to life as you encounter countless sea monsters and ancient gods in the form of sculptures and statues.
