This is one of Tohoku's most sacred mountain hikes, designated a national scenic spot, selected as one of Fukushima Prefecture's "100 Famous Mountains" by Junko Tabei, and also hiked by Rui Yoshida on the NHK program "100 Low Mountains of Japan."
