◆The Grandeur of Nagaoka: A Multi-Sensory Masterpiece◆
Witness iconic displays that define Nagaoka's legendary status:

The Phoenix Fireworks: A monumental display spanning an incredible 2 kilometers across the river , this signature piece is a powerful symbol of "the phoenix's rebirth" and the city's spirit of recovery.
The Colossal Sho-sanjakudama: Prepare to be dwarfed by massive 3-foot diameter shells , among the largest launched anywhere, creating enormous bursts that expand dramatically across and beyond your field of vision.
The Breathtaking Niagara Falls: A truly unique spectacle, this 650-meter-long fireworks display vigorously flows down into the river , creating a mystical glowing world as brilliant cascades reflect on the water.

All fireworks are meticulously choreographed and synchronized with music, including the powerful "Jupiter" symphony , transforming the display into a harmonious and deeply moving performance. With approximately 20,000 fireworks launched over two nights , the sheer scale is immense, unfolding from 7:20 PM to 9:10 PM each evening.
Beyond the dazzling spectacle, the Nagaoka Fireworks Festival holds profound historical significance. It serves as a poignant memorial for those who lost their lives in the 1945 bombing and the 2004 Chuetsu Earthquake, embodying a powerful prayer for peace and recovery. This adds a layer of depth and solemn beauty, making it a truly remarkable and memorable event.
◆Fireworks Festival Tour: What to Bring & Important Notes◆
To ensure a comfortable experience at the fireworks festival, we recommend bringing items ①–⑥ below. Please check carefully.
Also, please note that it takes about 30–90 minutes on foot from the parking lot to the viewing seats. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes.
① Mats: Only blue tarpaulins are available for the spectator group seats. We recommend that you bring your own cushions for extra comfort. (Chair is prohibited.).
② Rain poncho and waterproof shoes: Please prepare a rain poncho in case of sudden rain. A compact, full-body poncho is very convenient for watching the fireworks. The venue can become muddy in wet weather, so waterproof shoes or boots are also recommended.
③ Protection against temperature changes: The venue is outdoors with no roof. Please bring a hat, sunscreen, and drinks to protect yourself from the sun and heat. At night, temperatures can drop to around 20°C, so a light cardigan or jacket is recommended.
④ Flashlight: It can be difficult to see after sunset, so a light source is useful. Some portable toilets may not have lighting.
⑤ Pocket tissues and wet wipes: Some portable toilets may not have toilet paper, so it’s reassuring to bring your own.
⑥ Plastic bag for your shoes: At the viewing area, you may need to remove your shoes and sit on a blue sheet.
Please note: The use of umbrellas is prohibited in the viewing area. When using a camera tripod or selfie stick, please keep it at a height that does not obstruct others’ view (no higher than seated eye level). Standing up to take photos is also not allowed.
◆ The "Comfort First" Upgrade: JAL City Stay & 12:00 PM Departure ◆
Say goodbye to the exhausting overnight bus! This 2-day tour is designed for those who value rest:
Stay at the 4-star JAL City Nagano. After the late-night fireworks, retreat to a premium room for a deep, restorative sleep.
We depart at 12:00 PM on Day 2. No early-morning rush! Enjoy a slow morning, a relaxed brunch near Nagano Station, and explore at your own pace.
◆Safety Guaranteed ◆ Operated by two professional drivers to ensure maximum safety for late-night and long-distance travel.
◆ Cultural Duo: Zenko-ji Temple & Matsumoto Castle ◆
Zenko-ji Temple: A 1,400-year-old National Treasure and the spiritual heart of the region. Walk the historic approach and soak in the sacred atmosphere.
Matsumoto Castle: The iconic "Black Crow Castle." As one of Japan's oldest original wooden keeps, its striking black exterior is a masterpiece of feudal architecture.
