Day 1: Athens to Epidaurus Mycenae and Nafplio
Your dream tour begins with an early pickup in the morning from your designated point in Athens with a private vehicle and an English-speaking driver. As you depart from Athens and travel along the coastal road of the Saronic Gulf, your first stop is at the Corinth Canal, an impressive engineering marvel that connects the Aegean with the Ionian Sea. After a short break for photos, the tour continues to the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus, renowned for its exceptional acoustics and rich history tied to Asclepius, the God of Medicine. Your private expert guide will help you explore the Archaeological Site and learn about its history until the present day. You will then head toward Mycenae, the Legendary Kingdom of Agamemnon. Here, you will walk with your guide through the Lion’s Gate, see the Royal Tombs, and visit the Treasury of Atreus.
After a morning filled with history and archaeology, you proceed to Nafplio, a charming coastal town with Venetian and neoclassical influences. Upon arrival, you can stroll through the picturesque streets, visit Syntagma Square, or admire the view from Palamidi Fortress. We suggest a leisurely lunch at a seaside taverna, that offers a taste of local Greek cuisine before checking in at the hotel. You will have the afternoon free for exploration, whether wandering through boutique shops, enjoying a coffee at one of the many charming cafés, or taking a short boat ride to the Fortress of Bourtzi. As the sun sets, you can have dinner at a traditional restaurant with a view of the illuminated fortress, the perfect end to the day.

Day 2: Nafplio to Olympia and return to Athens
The next morning starts with an early departure from Nafplio towards Olympia, passing through the scenic landscapes of the Peloponnese. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our expert guide as you step into the Birthplace of the Olympic Games. With the guide's help you can explore the archaeological site, including the ancient stadium, the Temple of Zeus, and the Temple of Hera, where the Olympic flame is still lit for the modern Games. The Museum showcases statues and artifacts that bring the ancient world to life.
Following the exploration of Olympia, the tour continues with a delightful honey-tasting experience at a local farm. There, you will learn about traditional beekeeping methods and taste a variety of honey, including thyme and fir honey, along with other local delicacies such as “diples” covered in honey.
The journey back to Athens takes you through the picturesque countryside, offering time to relax and reflect on the cultural and historical richness of the past two days. Arrival in Athens is expected in the evening, concluding the tour with lasting memories of the Peloponnesian wonders.
