Kokusai Street, also known as International Street, is widely recognized as Naha's primary nightlife and entertainment district. This vibrant area is where you'll find a concentration of shops, restaurants, bars, and the nightclubs included in the Naha Night Pass, such as TOP TREE, VOYAGER STAND OKINAWA, and HARVEL OKINAWA. It's a lively and convenient hub for evening activities.
The Naha Night Pass grants access to three popular nightclubs located around Kokusai Street: TOP TREE, VOYAGER STAND OKINAWA, and HARVEL OKINAWA. Each club offers a distinct atmosphere, typically featuring various music genres from EDM to Top 40, lively dance floors, and a selection of beverages. Visitors can expect a vibrant and energetic experience, with the pass allowing for easy club-hopping to sample different venues.
On Naha's Kokusai Street, most shops typically close by 9:00 PM or 10:00 PM. However, many restaurants, izakayas (Japanese pubs), and some bars remain open much later, often until midnight or beyond. Nightclubs, including those accessible with the Naha Night Pass, usually open around 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM and continue operating until the early morning hours, often around 2:00 AM to 3:00 AM or even later on weekends.
For getting around Naha's Kokusai Street area late at night after visiting clubs, taxis are the most recommended and safest option once the Yui Rail (monorail) service ends. Taxis are readily available in the area. Alternatively, if your accommodation is within a short walking distance, walking can be convenient, but always exercise caution and awareness of your surroundings late at night.
Apart from the nightclubs included in the Naha Night Pass, Naha offers a variety of late-night entertainment. Kokusai Street and its surrounding alleys are home to numerous izakayas where you can enjoy local Okinawan food and drinks, as well as bars featuring live music. Karaoke parlors are also a popular choice for late-night fun. Many of these establishments typically remain open until the early hours of the morning.
Common nationwide transportation IC cards such as Suica, Pasmo, ICOCA, and others are generally not accepted on public buses or the Yui Rail monorail system in Naha and throughout Okinawa. For public transportation, the local "OKICA" card is the primary IC card used for both bus and monorail services. Visitors without an OKICA card will typically need to pay bus fares in cash, often requiring exact change.
While it's often possible to board the Okinawa Limousine Bus without a reservation if there are seats available, especially during off-peak times, it is generally recommended to make a reservation in advance. This is particularly true during high tourist seasons or for popular routes connecting Naha Airport to central Naha or other resort areas. Reserving ensures you have a guaranteed seat and a smoother travel experience.
The Naha Night Pass is a digital pass designed for seamless entry to participating nightclubs in Naha. Upon purchase, you will receive a digital QR code. To gain admission to each of the three included clubs (TOP TREE, VOYAGER STAND OKINAWA, and HARVEL OKINAWA), simply present this QR code at the entrance counter of each venue. The pass allows for one-time entry to each of the three designated clubs.
