I. Reservation and Park Entry Regulations
Real-name online ticket booking: The scenic area implements a full online real-name system.
Documents and Entry Procedures: Present your passport or other valid documents at the visitor center to collect your ticket and then scan the QR code to enter the park; the ticket and the cable car ticket are combined into one code, eliminating the need for separate redemptions, making travel more convenient for cross-border tourists at Huanglong Scenic Area.

Main scenic area admission: 7:30–16:30 (ticket sales stop) Huanglong Scenic Area.
Cable car uphill: Tickets go on sale until 17:00, closing time is 17:30 at Huanglong Scenic Area.
Mouni Valley Zhaga Waterfall: 9:00–17:00; Erdaohai Scenic Area (December 1, 2025–May 31, 2026) is closed for conservation and temporarily closed.
II. Prevention and Management of Altitude Sickness
Pre-trip preparations: Take altitude sickness medication, Rhodiola rosea, etc. 1-3 days in advance (effects vary from person to person); avoid catching a cold and bring commonly used medications.
Upon arrival, please note: Avoid strenuous exercise and slow down your walking pace; there are 7 free oxygen bars along the scenic route, and those sensitive to altitude sickness can bring portable oxygen cylinders (available for purchase in the scenic area). Huanglong Scenic Area.
Treatment for discomfort: If you experience severe discomfort such as headache, shortness of breath, or nausea, stop your tour immediately and go to the oxygen bar to rest, or contact staff or call the emergency number 0837-7249120 (Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture)...
Recommended groups: Individuals with pulmonary heart disease, poorly controlled blood sugar/blood pressure, or underlying conditions such as coronary heart disease should exercise caution when visiting.
III. Equipment and Itinerary Recommendations
Essential items: sunscreen (SPF50+), warm jacket, rain gear, and non-slip hiking shoes; the high altitude makes it dry, so it is recommended to bring lip balm and moisturizer.
Itinerary planning
Single ticket: Suitable for those with good physical fitness, the entire hike takes about 4 hours, and you can stop and take photos at your leisure.
Ticket + Cable Car: The cable car goes directly to the high-altitude area, saving energy. It is recommended to take the cable car up the mountain and then hike down the mountain. The whole trip takes about 3-4 hours.
Other tips: Bring a small amount of cash (some stalls only accept cash); download offline maps in advance (signal is weak in some areas).
IV. Safety and Civilized Tourism Guidelines
Safety Precautions
Wear non-slip shoes, walk carefully on rainy, snowy, or icy roads, and do not run or crowd on boardwalks to avoid falls and injuries.
The elderly, children, and people with mobility impairments must be accompanied by someone and should not climb over the boardwalk or approach the edge.
Pets are strictly prohibited from entering the park; they can be stored at the visitor center. Flammable and explosive items are also prohibited in the Huanglong Scenic Area.
Civilized Conduct Rules
Smoking and open fires are prohibited in the wild; please take your trash with you and do not litter in the Huanglong Scenic Area.
Travertine landscapes are fragile and non-renewable. Please do not trample on them, graffiti them, break branches or climb trees, and do not leave the boardwalk.
Respect local customs, do not disturb wild animals, and do not feed them.
Travelers with the following conditions or other health issues that could be worsened by excessive stimulation should not participate in this activity: High blood pressure, Heart disease, Acrophobia, Asthma, Epilepsy, Pregnant women
