Product Info

Hakkoda is located at the northern end of the Ou Mountains, Japan's longest mountain chain, stretching for approximately 500km from Tochigi Prefecture, famous for Nikko on Honshu Island, to Aomori Prefecture. In winter, temperatures can drop below -20°C at high altitudes, and the harsh conditions create stunning silvery white scenery and the natural phenomenon of frost-covered trees known as "snow monsters," and the area also receives the heaviest snowfall in the world. The true joy of winter in Hakkoda is that you can encounter fantastic scenery not only on clear days but also in blizzards and bad weather.
This tour takes you into nature that is not accessible during the seasons when the area is covered with grass and trees. This tour is unique to winter and allows you to experience the beauty of Hakkoda's nature, which is even more beautiful in the harsh winter.
The tour departs from Aomori Station in a private car, allowing you to relax in the morning, so even those who are nervous about driving on snowy roads can easily participate.
The guides are well versed in the charms, nature, and terrain of Hakkoda, so even beginners can participate with confidence. Rental equipment is included, so you'll be fully prepared for the cold and snow.
Hakkoda often experiences harsh winter weather, but no matter what the conditions, you can enjoy the richness of nature and the fantastic snow scenery. It's truly an extraordinary experience.
This is a private tour.
