Product Info
- The 'Bizen Pottery Artist Taiga Mori Studio Pottery Class' offers pottery workshops that anyone can easily join. In this plan, you will create your own pieces using an electric potter's wheel. Why not try your hand at creating Bizen pottery, known for the soft, rustic charm of its clay?
- Learn while you experience
- Using clay made by the artist himself from local paddy soil, you will create pieces the size of a tea cup or sake bottle. Based on your vision for the piece, you will craft it using an electric potter's wheel. With one-on-one guidance on key points and techniques, you will also learn about the history and characteristics of Bizen pottery, deepening your understanding of the craft.
- Open to elementary school students and up
- Children from elementary school age (6 years and older) are welcome to participate. Experiencing this as a family will surely create lasting memories. Don't be afraid to make mistakes—just give it a try! The finished pieces will be fired in the studio's climbing kiln and will be ready in about a year. Please let us know if you would like your work shipped to you (shipping fees apply). International shipping via EMS is also available.
