The farm is the only legal and popular zoo in Eastern Taiwan. It is planned to showcase a more natural ecosystem, combining educational functions to allow visitors to observe, learn, and respect animals up close. It is also the first farm in Hualien to obtain an animal exhibition license, providing a space where visitors can view and interact with animals.
The star animals in the zoo include white monkeys, the grandfather giant tortoise, the meerkat family, the sloth siblings, the raccoon island in the 'boys' dormitory', the dromedary camel born and raised on the farm, alpacas from the Kaohsiung Zoo, donkeys with long ears, miniature horses as big as dogs, and black-bellied sheep that can be seen everywhere.
In the bird sanctuary, don't miss the beautiful figures of the macaws, umbrella cockatoos, great hornbills, and the East African crowned crane. The peacocks seen throughout the farm are currently in their most beautiful season; with their long tail feathers and brilliant appearance, if you are lucky enough to see them fan their tails, it will bring you good luck. The hidden white peacock is a rare sight to behold.
The dairy area is a collaboration with the Lee Teng-hui Foundation to breed the 'Yuanxing Cattle', the only Wagyu beef cattle strain in the country. In addition, more than 300 Holstein cows are raised here. Besides being able to taste fresh milk, which is available in limited daily quantities, you must not miss the farm's homemade soft-serve ice cream. It is made using the farm's fresh milk without adding a single drop of water, and its richness and fragrance are on par with brands from Hokkaido, Japan. In recent years, the orchard area has transitioned to organic farming, which is not only environmentally friendly and provides safe organic fruits and vegetables, but also commissions a professional beekeeping team to produce certified honey within the organic production base.
