Purchase Notice
• The entire boat trip takes a maximum of 3 hours, but if the humpback whale is spotted earlier, the journey will return to port sooner. (Humpback whale watching time is approximately 1 hour).
• Booking Restrictions: Pregnant women, those planning to conceive, and those who have consumed alcohol or are hungover are not permitted to participate. If discovered on-site, boarding will be refused and no refund will be issued. Please be aware of this. Participation is not recommended for wheelchair users or elderly individuals with mobility issues.
Regarding compensation for not being able to see whales:
Full refund or free re-entry period: February 1, 2026 to March 15, 2026.
Non-refundable and non-rescheduling dates: December 20, 2025 to January 31, 2026 and March 16, 2026 to April 5, 2026.
However, if the following conditions are met, it will be considered a successful whale sighting and no refund will be given: whale spouting behavior is seen from a distance; or two or more guests see whales on the same day.
Items you need to bring for a whale watching tour:
Seasickness medication: Participants are strongly advised to take seasickness medication before the activity to ensure a more comfortable journey. Seasickness medication will not be available for purchase on-site.
A warm and waterproof coat is recommended: wear a windproof and warm coat, along with a beanie. Avoid wearing hats that are easily blown away by the wind to prevent inconvenience.
Non-slip athletic shoes: The boat may be wet or bumpy, so please wear non-slip athletic shoes and avoid wearing unstable shoes such as high heels.
Anti-slip camera strap: When using a camera or mobile phone to take pictures, it is recommended to use a camera strap or mobile phone strap to secure the device to your hand to prevent it from accidentally slipping into the sea and to ensure safety.
Reminders
• Minimum group size is 10 people. If the minimum number is not reached, the event may be cancelled. In such cases, we will contact you in advance to change the date or provide a full refund.
• If the rain does not cause any difficulties in navigation, the ship will depart as scheduled even on rainy days. If a guest cancels their participation due to rain, it is considered a voluntary abandonment and no refund will be given.
• The trip may be cancelled or the schedule may be changed due to weather conditions or sea conditions. In the worst-case scenario, you will be informed of the cancellation upon check-in. All unsafe behavior is prohibited on board.
• For safety reasons, please wear a life jacket at all times during the activity. Do not walk on the boat while it is moving.
• There is a paid parking lot inside Mie Castle Port, costing 500 yen per parking session (cash payment only).
Smoking and drone use are prohibited on board.
• On board, any behavior that violates safety regulations is prohibited.
• Please arrive at the designated location at least 5 minutes in advance. Due to traffic control or other reasons, the pick-up time may be subject to change. If the pick-up time is changed, customer service will notify you via the email address you provided the evening before, including checking your spam/junk mail folder. The pick-up service is free and no complaints will be accepted.
• Tourists requiring shuttle service must fill in the name of the designated shuttle service when placing their order. Do not fill in the name of your actual hotel. If you do not fill in the name or fill in a name that is not the designated shuttle service, you will be considered to have to go to the port to meet up on your own.
• If the pick-up time changes, customer service will notify you via the email address you provided the day before, including checking your spam folder.
• Missing the meeting time will be considered a cancellation for that day, and no refund will be given. Please allow sufficient time to arrive.
• Due to force majeure factors such as weather and sea conditions, the trip may be cancelled on the same day. Guests will be notified via the email address they provided, including the spam folder of the confirmation email.
• Due to the lack of convenient boarding facilities and accessible amenities, please refrain from wearing high heels for safety reasons. Guests with mobility issues are advised to participate in whale watching tours departing from Chatan.
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations 7 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
- Cancellation is not allowed between 0–6 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
- Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once the cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 14 working days.
