The Busan Seven Bridges Cycling Tour is an annual cycling celebration that specially opens major cross-sea bridges such as the Gwangan Bridge, Namhang Bridge, and Busan Port Bridge, which are normally restricted to bicycles. This allows participants to exclusively experience the joy of riding on these magnificent bridges under special safety arrangements, offering a unique perspective of Busan's seascape and city views.
To ensure rider safety, the Busan Seven Bridges Cycling Tour designates exclusive cycling routes, with staff providing guidance and maintaining order. It is recommended that cyclists wear helmets at all times, maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front, and adhere to signage and staff instructions. Particular attention should be paid to slowing down on descents or turns to ensure a smooth and safe riding experience.
The cycling route for the Busan Seven Bridges Cycling Tour is meticulously planned to ingeniously connect multiple bridges, including the Gwangan Bridge, Namhang Bridge, Busan Port Bridge, and Eulsukdo Bridge, forming a unique loop or linear path. This route not only perfectly blends coastal scenery with urban landscapes but also allows riders to experience Busan's diverse geographical features.
When registering for the Busan Seven Bridges Cycling Tour, participants will be asked to provide the type of bicycle they will be riding, such as a road bike, mountain bike, or other types. This helps the event organizers with route planning, group assignments, or emergency rescue preparations. While most types are generally accepted, it is advisable to ensure your bicycle is in good condition, suitable for long-distance riding and handling bridge sections.
The uniqueness of the Busan Seven Bridges Cycling Tour lies in its integration of magnificent cross-sea bridges spanning vast waters with cycling routes through the vibrant Busan city center. This route offers a rare opportunity for riders to experience the grandeur of the coastal landscape and the pulse of the city on the same day, while also safely riding on bridges normally closed to bicycle traffic.
The Busan Seven Bridges Cycling Tour is scheduled to depart at 7:00 AM on Sunday, September 21st. The assembly time is expected to be before 6:00 AM. The organizers will provide advance notice of the specific meeting point and more precise timing, so please pay close attention to official announcements to ensure timely arrival for check-in at the designated location.
Providing your jersey size when registering for the Busan Seven Bridges Cycling Tour is primarily for the production or distribution of commemorative jerseys, ensuring each participant receives a suitable size. The club name may be used for group identification, performance statistics, or event organization, helping the organizers better manage large groups and enhance the sense of participation and camaraderie.
Along the cycling route of the Busan Seven Bridges Cycling Tour, you will be able to admire Busan's diverse and magnificent landscapes. This includes the dazzling night views of the Gwangan Bridge (if time permits), the grand sights of the busy port from the Namhang Bridge and Busan Port Bridge, and the natural wetland scenery around the Eulsukdo Bridge. It's a unique route that blends modern urban and natural coastal vistas.
