- Spot Introduction -

・Taketomi Island
Taketomi Island is a remote island located about 10 minutes by high-speed boat from Ishigaki Port. It is a small island with a circumference of about 9 km, featuring three settlements designated as Important Preservation Districts for Groups of Traditional Buildings. The island is filled with a charming atmosphere, with traditional Okinawan red-tiled houses lining the streets. You can encounter the original landscape of Okinawa in these quiet settlements where water buffalo carts pass by.

・Hamajima (Phantom Island)
Hamajima is called the 'Phantom Island' because it disappears during high tide. The charm of the island lies in its beautiful location. With nothing to obstruct the view, only a white beach and beautiful sea stretch out; walking on the island feels as if you are walking on the ocean. The water is highly transparent, and there are many spots offshore where you can enjoy marine leisure activities such as snorkeling and diving.
