After mastering the basics in the beginner practice area, you can move on to the next level of slopes. The wide and flat valley area is perfect for consolidating turns and speed control, while the summit area, with an average slope of about 10 degrees and well-groomed surfaces, is a comfortable place to practice continuous turns. The entire resort has a vertical drop of over 1,000 meters, and the long-distance experience of riding from the summit to the base—a run of about 6,000 meters—is Ryuo's signature. The dry powder snow unique to high-altitude areas offers a distinct feel compared to lower-altitude resorts. Time off the slopes is just as rewarding—take the world-class 166-passenger ropeway directly to the summit, where the 1,770-meter-high SORA terrace offers a view of mountain ridges. When the weather is right, you can see a magnificent sea of clouds, making it a great place to rest, warm up, and take photos.
