All participants must possess a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) issued under the 1949 Geneva Convention format by an officially authorized organization in their country.
– However, for participants with a driver's license issued in Switzerland, Germany, France, Taiwan, Belgium, or Monaco, an official Japanese translation of the license is required. This translation must be obtained from the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF).
Licenses issued in countries not part of the Geneva Convention, such as China, Indonesia, Mexico, Qatar, or Saudi Arabia, are not valid for driving in Japan.
All participants must carry the original International Driving Permit (or domestic license + official translation for the exception countries above) along with their original passport during the tour.
