Swiss Travel Pass comes as a Consecutive Days pass or a Flex pass, each in several durations. It gives unlimited rides on SBB trains, buses and boats plus local transport in 90 Swiss towns and cities, free entry to over 500 museums and castles, and special terms on panoramic trains, so you can travel at your own pace and save on fares and admissions.
What does the Swiss Travel Pass include?

Does the Swiss Travel Pass cover Jungfraujoch, the Glacier Express and cable cars?
The pass covers the Glacier Express fare and the Mt. Rigi, Stanserhorn and Stoos mountain railways and cable cars, while Jungfraujoch is discounted and only the seat reservation fee is extra on panoramic trains.

Who can buy the Swiss Travel Pass?

Is the Glacier Express included in the Swiss Travel Pass?
The Glacier Express fare is included, but the seat reservation fee is extra. The same applies to the Bernina Express and other panoramic trains.
Reserve at a Swiss train station ticket counter and pay the handling fees. Reservations are required on high-speed, panoramic, and sleeper trains and can be made up to 3 months ahead.
Do children need a Swiss Travel Pass?
Children aged 6 to 15 travel free with the Swiss Family Card when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, and it is applied automatically at booking if they are eligible.
Children aged 5 and under are free but must not occupy a seat.
Is there a Swiss Travel Pass for under 25s?
Yes. Travelers under 25 can buy the Swiss Travel Pass Youth at 30% off the regular fare, with the same coverage as the standard pass.
Seat reservation fees on panoramic trains such as the Glacier Express and Bernina Express are extra, as with the standard pass.
Do I need to print my Swiss Travel Pass?
Yes. Print it on A4 paper. A Consecutive Days pass is a PDF attached to your voucher and is your ticket, with no manual activation.
A Flex pass needs one printed ticket for every travel date. Each date requires its corresponding voucher, printed and presented to on-site staff.
How do I activate a Swiss Travel Pass Flex?
Enter your reference number, first name, last name, and birthdate on the activation site, then select your preferred date of use.
Each date you select produces its own ticket file. Print each 1 on A4 paper. A voucher must be used on the selected date and within operating hours.

- To make a seat reservation, visit a Swiss train station ticket counter and pay the handling fees

- A PDF document will be attached to your Consecutive Days package voucher. Print out the PDF (A4 paper) and carry it with you at all times as your ticket, manual activation not required
- The PDF document attached to a Flex package voucher is NOT the ticket. Redeem your ticket by:
