Product Info

Autumn is the season for the arts.
Omagari in Akita is one of the sacred places for Japanese pyrotechnicians.
The fireworks artists gather there and compete their skill.
The festival will be held in 5th October 2024 in Omagari, Akita.
Be moved by fireworks drawn in the Autumn night sky by pyrotechnicians.
Seating will be at tables for four and you will be sharing with other customers.
The table provided would be the photo uploaded. (The photo shows after last year's event)
Meet your guide at the west exit of JR Omagari Station at 15:00.
It is about 40 minute-walk from Omagari station to the venue. We visit Hanabium, Tradition and Culture Preservation Museum, to learn fireworks in Japan. There are stalls along the way, so enjoy shopping and eating while walking. When you arrive at the venue, we will explain the seats and restrooms. We will also explain how to watch fireworks. Fireworks start at 6pm. Watch the 90-minute fireworks show from your seat.
After the fireworks, we will return to Omagari Station with your guide and break up there.
Nights can get as cold as 7°C (44.6°F). Please wear warm clothing such as a jacket, hat, gloves, and pants.
Please leave your luggage at your hotel if possible. If this is difficult, please consult with us after making a reservation. We might be able to store your luggage during the tour.
From September, hotels are very busy beyond provinces at this time of year because tickets will go on sale to the personals from September. We recommend that you make your arrangements as early as possible.
Omagari city, Akita city, Kakunodate and Yokote city are the areas where you can find hotels nearby.
Please check in advance how you will get to the Omagari station (meeting place).
-To get to Omagari Station-
The Shinkansen or Bullet train to Omagari Station is expected to be very crowded on the day.

Book the Shinkansen Komachi and head to Omagari Station from Tokyo.
Book the Shinkansen Tsubasa and get off at Shinjo Station from Tokyo, then take a local train to Omagari.

Reservations for the Shinkansen start at 10:00am, 6th September, 2024 (JST=UTS+0900) one month before the trip day.
If you are considering to use a Japan Rail Pass, refer to the JR website and complete your purchase at least one month in advance to make reservations online.
If you cannot prepare to go to Omagari on the day, staying nearby the night before is also an option.
Nearby Cities: Yokote, Yuzawa, Shinjo, Kitakami, Senboku(Kakunodate Samurai town) and Akita city - if you cannot find a stay, let us know to get advice.
Up to 4 people per group. Your group will be seated at a table for four people. This option is also available for groups of 3 or less. Children under 7 years old are free, but there are no seats available, so they have to watch on their parents' laps.

The fireworks show will proceed rain or shine.
However, in case of the water level exceeds the limitation, the event would be postponed or canceled since the venue locates riverside. If postponed, the event will be held the next day or a week later. Those who wish can still participate.

How to Get There
Turn left at the west exit of Omagari Station and you will see the convenience store "New Days". Please come to the plaza in front of the convenience store. Your guide will be waiting for you.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations 11 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
  • For cancellations made 8 to 10 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 20% will apply
  • For cancellations made 2 to 7 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 30% will apply
  • For cancellations made 1 to 1 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 50% will apply
  • Cancellation is not allowed between 0–0 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
NOTE
  • Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once the cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 14 working days.
