- What You Can Expect -

 Venture out from Zurich and fully explore the scenery of Mt. Rigi with different means of transportations. First of all, scale up to Rigi Kaltbad with an aerial cable car. Then take the oldest mountain railway in Europe to the summit of Mt. Rigi (1800m). Be rewarded with the awe-inspiring panoramic view of 13 lakes, including Lake Lucerne and Zugersee, as well as the snow-capped mountains (winter only) in the background.

After lunch at the peak, descent to Vitznau with cogwheel train, the steepest railway in the world. Take a one-hour boat ride on Lake Lucerne, and slowly take in the beautiful view of old towns standing by the calming lake. Visit lakeside city Lucerne, wander around the historic streets and visit some attractions such as Chapel Bridge and Jesuit Church.

Before returning to Zurich with the bus, pay a visit to the Swiss Museum of Transport or Rosengart Museum. Relish the alpine panorama and lake view at Mt. Rigi

  • The driver/tour guide accompanies the tour from Zürich to Weggis and from Lucerne to Zürich. Keep in mind that the way up and down Mt. Rigi and the boat ride to Lucerne are unguided
