    This amazing historic walking tour shows you some of the most important sites in Freiburg's historical development. It's a wonderful way to explore this historic and charming city in southwestern Germany.

    The journey begins at the Old Rathaus and Rathausplatz. Here you'll find the impressive New Town Hall (Neues Rathaus) with its ornate façade. This square is also a hub for events and markets. From here you'll proceed to the Freiburg Münster, the Farmers´ Market and Münsterplatz viewing several of Freiburg's most significant buildings. Freiburg Minster is a stunning Gothic cathedral that dominates the city's skyline. If you climb the tower, you can admire panoramic views of the city and the Black Forest.

    Later, you'll visit one of Freiburg´s most historic neighborhoods, and it's medieval city gates. Along the way, you'll encounter amazing examples of Renaissance and Gothic architecture. The Gewerbe Canal in Little Venice is a peaceful setting amidst the hustle and bustle of modern life. The home-brewed beers at Hausbrauerei Feierling are sure to please even the most discerning tastes. You'll walk through Schwabentor, one of the city's well-preserved medieval gates. Stroll through the Augustinerplatz, a square lined with charming cafés and bars. Visit the historic Merchant's Hall, an exquisite building with beautiful frescoes.
