Meet in front of "Kawasaki Kita Terrace (Kawasaki Toursit Information)",
whichi is located on the 3rd floor of atre Kawasaki direct to JR Kawasaki Station.
After gathering and meeting a tour guide, you will move to KAWASAKI UKIYO-E GALLERY. UKIYO-E is a genre of traditional Japanese woodblock prints or paintings that gained popularity during the Edo period (17th to 19th centuries). The term "ukiyo-e" translates to "pictures of the floating world", reflecting scenes of landscapes, kabuki actors, sumo wrestlers, beautiful women, and scenes from historical tales. Prominent ukiyo-e artists include Hokusai and Hiroshige.
In the tour, professtional guide will explain some of ukiyo-e and also you can appreciate by your self.
Next, 15 minutes' walk will take you to "TOKAIDO KAWASAKI SHUKU KORYUKAN" which prorives an opportunity to learn about Kawasaki City as it was 400 years ago.Kawasaki City thrived as one of the post towns along the Tokaido during the Edo period. It serves as a significant historical resource, representing the origin of present-day Kawasaki, where you can delve into its rich history.
After you visit TOKAIDO KAWASAKI SHUKU KORYUKAN, you will move to "Tokaido GLASS" where you can experience "Kiriko" experience. Kiriko is cutting glass and it is type of glassware production in Tokyo since the late Edo period. You can bring glass home as souvenirs.
The end of the tour, the guide will take you to LAZONA Kawasaki Plaza which is one of the biggest shopping mall in Kawasaki City and the tour will end.
