-Attraction Introduction-
Guangzhou Street · Hong Kong Street
Built in 1996 for the filming of director Xie Jin's historical epic 'The Opium War', the Guangzhou Street scenic area is the birthplace of Hengdian World Studios. The Hong Kong Street area was added in 1998, featuring a crisscrossing network of ancient paths and the Pearl River flowing through the city, recreating the street life and atmosphere of 19th-century Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
Palace of Ming and Qing Dynasties
The Palace of Ming and Qing Dynasties is a massive scenic area integrating film shooting, tourism, and festivals. Started in 1998 and covering 1,500 mu, it is the largest film base in Hengdian World Studios. The Palace of Ming and Qing Dynasties is a 1:1 replica of the 'Forbidden City', referencing Ming and Qing court architectural techniques. Using the unique construction methods of the film studio, it imitates the ritual systems of the Tang, Song, and Yuan dynasties while incorporating architectural styles from the Republic of China era. It brings together four major architectural series: Beijing palaces, imperial gardens, royal mansions, and hutong residences, recreating the government offices, residential houses, street shops, and palace styles of Yanjing across multiple historical periods. It features many historical landscapes such as the Chessboard Street, Chengtian Gate Square, Thousand-Step Corridor, Civil and Martial Arts Platform, Golden Water River, Jade Belt Bridge, imperial palaces, garden lakes, dragon towers and phoenix eaves, and the Imperial Palace Square.
Dream Valley
Dream Valley scenic area covers 430 mu and includes four major zones: Dream Culture Village, Hengdian Old Street, Jiangnan Water Town, and Water World. It is a large-scale nighttime film and television experience resort that focuses on showcasing natural phenomena and landscapes such as volcanic eruptions and mountain floods, complemented by various amusement facilities and performances. With themes of 'catastrophic shock' experiences and 'cross-border gambling' interactive games, and relying on film and high-tech presentation techniques, Dream Valley is a major milestone marking Hengdian World Studios' complete departure from static sightseeing tourism.
