Meet your local guide at the Shin-Kawasaki station and head to the real Sumo stable, which was officially used until 2022. First, your guide will explain the unique lifestyle and customs of the sumo world, followed by a room tour to see the dining room, bath, and practice area, where you can get a glimpse of the life of sumo wrestlers. Afterwards, you will be seated right in front of the sumo ring to watch a morning sumo practice session.
See how Sumo practice starts in a daily life and know the traditional Sumo moves with the reasons behind to make Sumo wrestlers stronger
After experiencing sumo practice, the guide will explain sumo rules, moves, and techniques and the Sumo wrestlers show how a real sumo match begins. Afterwards, those who wish to participate will have the opportunity to fight with a sumo wrestler as if it were a real match. Please feel the size and strength of sumo wrestlers with your own body.
After the match, we will eat chanko-nabe together, a dish that makes sumo wrestler's body big. We make Chicken dumplings, the main ingredient of the chanko-nabe, with the wrestlers, and everyone eats together around a table that was actually used in the sumo room.
