- Highlights of the 30th "2024 Young Portfolio" -
At the 30th anniversary of the YP2024, we saw many expressions that confronted the "life" that exists here and now, such as works that looked back on one's own country's culture and social issues in the new normal world after the COVID-19 pandemic, works that reaffirmed the value of familiar things, works expressing the joy of meeting people in other countries as travel between countries resumes, and works filled with painful feelings from the battlefield. As the selection committee member Seto said, "These will all be your 'early works,' right? There is a sense of innocence, a sense of roughness, and I always find the imperfections really attractive," I hope you will be able to see the resonance of a young gaze.
- Selection Committee for 2024: Michiko Kon, Leslie Kee (first selection only), Toshiya Momose, Masato Seto (Deputy Director), Eikoh Hosoe (Director, special selection committee member)
- Exhibition of early works by the four judges
We will be exhibiting early works by Michiko Kon, Toshiya Momose, Masato Seto (Deputy Director), and Eikoh Hosoe (Director), in other words, the "Selection Committee's Young Portfolios" (21 pieces in total).
