When visiting the trails at Shui Long Waterfall Park, it is generally recommended to allocate approximately 1.5 to 2 hours for the round trip walk from the entrance to the main waterfall. This duration allows ample time for a leisurely stroll along the bamboo forest path, experiencing the Shui Long Suspension Bridge, and pausing at the viewing platform to admire the waterfall's beauty, all without feeling rushed.
Shui Long Waterfall Park features an accessible scenic trail, and the "Meng Zhu Lin Trail" has a flat, well-maintained path that is very suitable for seniors and children to walk with ease. To view the main Shui Long Waterfall up close, you can follow the wooden boardwalks within the park. After crossing the Shui Long Suspension Bridge, you will eventually reach the "River-Crossing Sky Waterfall Viewing Platform." This platform is designed to allow visitors to safely and unobstructed admire the waterfall's powerful flow and magnificent scenery, making it the best viewing spot.
In addition to the spectacular Shui Long Waterfall, the park offers many other noteworthy attractions. You can experience the "Shui Long Suspension Bridge" that spans across the river valley and enjoy the panoramic mountain views. Stroll along the "Meng Zhu Lin Trail," surrounded by bamboo forests, and immerse yourself in the tranquility and freshness of the woods. These are unique charms of the park.
Public transportation to Shui Long Waterfall Park is currently inconvenient. It is recommended to drive or take a taxi/chartered car. If using public transport, you can first take a train or bus to Zhushan Township and then transfer to a taxi. The park has a parking lot for self-driving visitors.
The water flow of Shui Long Waterfall is usually most abundant and spectacular during the wet season, which is after the plum rain season between spring and summer, and throughout the summer (approximately May to September). During this period, rainfall is higher, and the waterfall has ample water, fully showcasing its grandeur as "Zhushan's Premier Waterfall."
