Former Japanese record holder in the 100m hurdles in athletics. Representing Japan at the Tokyo Olympics. Started athletics in the fourth grade of elementary school, won the 100m hurdles at the Inter-High School Championships three times in a row in high school, and achieved a triple crown with the 100m and 4x100m relay in her third year. Won the Japan Championships three times in a row from 2008 to 2010, competed at the World Athletics Championships in 2009 and became the world's number one junior rank, but retired in 2013 due to injuries and eating disorders. After entering university and giving birth in 2014, she switched to rugby sevens in 2016 and returned to active competition. She returned to athletics at the end of 2018.
