The Peaceful Adventure of Floating in the Wind.
Hop onto the balloon flights happening before sunrise. The exact meeting time is confirmed to all passengers the day before their flight via SMS or WhatsApp. The meeting point is the car park opposite Crown Promenade in Burswood, off Bolton Avenue. From here you will climb into our minibus and you will be driven to Northam, one hour away, where we meet the rest of the passengers at the Farmers Home Hotel.
Where We Fly and What Happens in The Morning?
From our meeting point inside the Farmers Home Hotel, in the township of Northam, jump into our vehicles and we will drive you to our launch site. This can vary depending on the wind direction on the day of your flight. We cover the whole valley but on different flights; what we assure you is that your pilot will seek to give you the best experience the morning can offer.
Once on the field, it will take about half an hour to set the balloon up and everyone is welcome to participate in simple tasks to help get the balloon ready. When the balloon is inflated and with everyone onboard, there will be a short safety briefing and up we go, to float in the morning breeze for about one hour. The views are spectacular and the experience itself is unique. Remember this unforgettable journey and understand nature from a new perspective. After approximately 1 hour’s flight, the pilot will choose an appropriate landing field to set down.
Ballooning is an "audience participation" experience and everybody is encouraged to help with simple tasks during the inflation and especially after the flight when we need to pack the balloon away. The Avon Valley is beautiful in the winter, with months in which the beautiful yellow canola fields are blooming and the valley is nice and green. The sunrise is almost always spectacular and the experience of flying in a balloon is an unforgettable experience to share with friends and family or a romantic moment for two.

- Because we need to drive to Northam and take off in time to see the sunrise, our meeting time is very early. It can be as early as 2:30 am or as late as 4:30 am, depending on the time of the year
- Dress appropriately for outdoor activity and wear good outdoor shoes as the fields are wet and muddy in winter. Plastic bags over your shoes will also protect but if in doubt, bring spare shoes and socks
- Clothes can get a little dirty so do not wear your best outfit. Ballooning is a hands-on activity so expect to be in contact with the balloon, which can be a little wet
- Children need to be older than 6 years old to participate; there is no upper age limit
- The drive to Northam will take approximately 1 hour. The drive back a little longer as we will encounter more traffic
