Hotel: ION Adventure Hotel is an unforgettable experience. Whether you are seeking a quiet, soulful soak beneath the Northern Lights, a challenging trek across an ancient glacier or a day of fly-fishing in plentiful icy rivers.
Tour: This tour is ideal for beginners and families who would like to get to know the beautiful Icelandic horse. The riding takes place in the beautiful surroundings of Ölfus area in the South Iceland.

Room Description
ION Adventure Hotel has 18 Standard rooms. All rooms have a view of the unique Nesjavellir Geothermal Power Plant or across the lava fields towards Thingvellir National Park.
Each Standard room has beds that can be customized as twin or double as requested. Free WiFi is included both inside the rooms and in public areas. Every room has fair-trade organic linens, hypoallergenic beds, powerful environmentally friendly showers and the following soaps and lotions from Sóley Organics.
The size of room is 20 sq mts, size of beds - 180 x 200 cms.
Horseback Ride Description
This tour is ideal for beginners and families who would like to get to know the beautiful Icelandic horse. From your pick up location we head to the horse farm where we will start the tour. Before we head for the adventure we fit the gear and prepare the horses. The riding takes place in the beautiful surroundings of Ölfus area in the South Iceland. This tour can be adjusted so it will fit all sizes and ages of family members. We will either ride on a beautiful and smooth riding path along the Ingólfsfjall Mountain or, for a group of more experienced riders, we will ride by and in the river Gljúfulá. On both routes, you will enjoy natural riding paths and a wonderful setting for horseback riding where you will get to know the friendly surefooted Icelandic horse.
*Departure: Every day for minimum 2 persons (10:00/14:00, please specify the date of experience in booking note)
*Duration: 2 hour of riding, 3-4 hours total incl. pick up/drop off
*Included: All equipment needed for the horseback riding, rain gear/over-all, footwear and light refreshments
*Bring & wear: Comfortable warm clothing, warm gloves and a thin hat or warm buff or headband
*Pick up at ION Adventure hotel: Starts 60 minutes before departure, please be ready at hotel lobby
