If you are prone to seasickness, it is recommended to take seasickness medicine beforehand.
The Shanju B&B where we are gathering does not provide toiletries for non-guests. Please put on and take off your equipment at your own B&B. If you need to wash up, a 50 yuan cleaning fee will be charged to the B&B. Thank you for your cooperation.
During activities, please cooperate with the precautions and safety matters reminded by the instructor, maintain a good buddy system, and dive safely.
If you rent equipment, please take good care of it. If the equipment is damaged or spray-painted, you will be responsible for 50% of the price of the equipment.
If the "Guide and Training" activity does not include personal use equipment, such as: cold-proof clothing, masks, snorkels, weights, fins, etc..., please inform us in advance if you need to rent it. Additional equipment rental fees will be charged.
To reach Xiaoliuqiu from Taipei, travelers typically take a high-speed rail (HSR) from Taipei Main Station to Kaohsiung's Zuoying Station. From Zuoying, transfer to a shuttle service or bus that goes to Donggang Ferry Terminal. Finally, take a ferry from Donggang to Xiaoliuqiu. The entire journey takes approximately 3-4 hours, excluding waiting times.
From Kaohsiung, the most common way to reach Xiaoliuqiu is to take a bus or taxi directly to Donggang Ferry Terminal. Public buses (like the Pingtung Bus) are available from Kaohsiung Main Station or other major points, heading towards Donggang. The bus journey to Donggang takes about 45-60 minutes, followed by a ferry ride to Xiaoliuqiu.
From Zuoying HSR Station, you can take a pre-booked shuttle service or a taxi directly to Donggang Ferry Terminal. Many local operators provide convenient minivan services that align with HSR arrival times. Alternatively, you can take a bus from Zuoying to Kaohsiung Main Station and then transfer to a bus for Donggang, though this involves more transfers.
The ferry ride from Donggang to Xiaoliuqiu is relatively short. For private ferries, the journey usually takes approximately 20-30 minutes. Public ferries may take slightly longer, around 30-40 minutes, depending on the boat type and sea conditions. Ferries depart frequently throughout the day.
The most popular way to get around Xiaoliuqiu island is by renting a scooter, which offers flexibility to explore at your own pace. Electric scooters are also widely available. For those without a scooter license, electric bicycles or golf carts can be rented. Walking is suitable for shorter distances, especially within villages or to nearby scenic spots.
