Get ready to take the next step in your diving certification and prepare for thrilling underwater adventures with the PADI Nitrox course provided by Pro Dive Cairns!
Pro Dive Cairns is a high-standard operator with an Advanced Ecotourism Certification and is committed to the long-term conservation of The Great Barrier Reef. Together with their professional crew, you'll be able to further your diving skills while making minimal impact on your dashing underwater surroundings.
The theory component of the courses begins pre-trip. Within 24 hours of your booking, you'll receive details on how to use the online PADI eLearning portal and begin your PADI dive course. Here you'll read and watch the prerequisite content and perform a final knowledge review. By completing the theory component before your trip, you're able to maximize the number of possible nitrox dives! For those without internet, an alternative is provided onboard the vessels.
The Pro Dive Cairns liveaboard dive trip allows for three days and two nights filled with exploration of the outer Great Barrier Reef's locations. All locations are selected for their extravagance, excellent visibility, and diversity of marine life.
The trip allows for delightful snorkeling opportunities and participation in up to 11 dives, of which two are night dives. The dives are spread out over 19 exceptional Outer Reef dive sites, divided between four stunning reefs: Flynn, Thetford, Milln, and Pellowe.
With dives carefully spread out throughout the day, you'll get to encounter an astonishing variety of marine life, including giant clams, sea turtles, stingrays, reef sharks, an unbelievable variety of tropical fish, and spectacular coral formations. And by adding night dives to the mix, you'll discover a whole new dimension of nocturnal marine life!
Relax between dives in the comfort provided on a premium Scubapro dive vessel. This liveaboard dive vessel features air-conditioned twin bunk beds or double bed cabins, spacious decks, Wi-Fi, and catered meals. Because the vessel carries a small number of passengers, the crew can offer a high-quality, personal experience with dedicated attention, making sure you get to enjoy a special experience that you'll never forget!

- 11:00Your first nitrox dive! This is an opportunity for you to acclimatize to the nitrox and put your book learning to practical use
- 12:30Recharge with a hearty lunch
- 14:30Head off and discover more underwater delights. Once you have completed your dive, the vessel moves on to the next site
- 16:30After free time to relax, it's time for your third dive
- 18:00Enjoy a delightful dinner
- 19:45Feel the thrill of the night dive! You'll be diving at the same site as the afternoon dive so you'll be diving in familiar waters
2 Day
- 07:00Wake up with an early morning dive!
- 09:00Breakfast is served
- 11:15After breakfast, the vessel moves on for the second dive of the day

- 15:15After lunch and some free time, it's time for your third dive

- Due to rising fuel costs in Australia, a fuel surcharge will apply to all new bookings made from 30 March 2026 for travel from 1 April 2026 onward.
- The surcharge is $25.00 per person .
- The surcharge is payable at check-in on the day of travel

Reminders
Some medical conditions may prevent you from diving. You will be required to fill in a medical certificate for diving before commencing the course; if you answer "yes" to any of the questions on the "Continuing Education Student Diver Medical Declaration" (https://prodivecairns.com/pdf/continuing_student_medical.pdf), you might not be able to take part in the course. This must be valid within 12 months of commencing the course
