Product Info

-What you can expect-
Enjoy a dinner cruise on the Dubai Creek in a traditional bedouin boat.

The Dubai Creek, an integral part of the city's history, divides Dubai into two sections: Bur Dubai and Deira, both of which house some of the city's best monuments and exquisite buildings.

Dhows, traditional Bedouin boats that were once used for trade and transportation, have been converted into restaurants that have lower (air-conditioned) and upper (open-air) decks. Upon arrival you'll receive a welcome drink then once the dhow sets sail, you'll enjoy a dinner of delicious barbecued dishes.

While you enjoy your drink and starters, you can take a look at the prestigious buildings and structures of Dubai as they glitter against the backdrop of the night sky. Then, savor a delicious buffet spread with a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.

Dhow cruises also have entertainment activities which include live music performances, Tanura dancing and more.

To explore the Dubai Creek area, you can primarily use traditional Abra boats, which are a quintessential experience, for crossing the creek between Bur Dubai and Deira. The area is also accessible via the Dubai Metro (Al Ghubaiba and Baniyas Square stations are close to the creek) and public buses. Taxis and ride-sharing services are also readily available for convenience. Walking along the promenades is a pleasant way to soak in the atmosphere and enjoy the historic surroundings.

2. How can I reach the departure points for a dhow dinner cruise on Dubai Creek using public transportation?

Most dhow dinner cruises on Dubai Creek depart from either the Deira or Bur Dubai sides. To reach these departure points by public transport, take the Dubai Metro Green Line to Al Ghubaiba Station (for Bur Dubai) or Baniyas Square Station (for Deira). From these stations, the departure points are typically a short walk or a quick taxi ride away. Public buses also serve the creek area, offering connections from various parts of the city for convenient access.

3. What is an Abra and how can visitors use this traditional boat to experience Dubai Creek?

An Abra is a traditional wooden boat, serving as a water taxi across Dubai Creek. Visitors can use Abras to experience the historical heart of Dubai, crossing between the Bur Dubai and Deira sides. These short, scenic rides offer unique views of the old souks and trading ships. Simply head to an Abra station, such as at Bur Dubai or Deira Old Souk, pay the small fare directly to the driver, and enjoy the authentic ride. It's an iconic and cost-effective way to navigate the creek.

4. What are the key differences between a dhow dinner cruise on Dubai Creek and one on Dubai Marina?

A dhow dinner cruise on Dubai Creek offers a glimpse into old Dubai, showcasing historical souks, traditional architecture, and trading dhows, providing a more cultural and heritage-rich experience. In contrast, a Dubai Marina dhow cruise navigates through a modern cityscape with glittering skyscrapers, luxury yachts, and contemporary architecture, offering a more cosmopolitan and vibrant atmosphere. The choice depends on whether you prefer historical charm or modern luxury views.

5. What distinctive features can guests expect during a dhow dinner cruise on Dubai Creek?
