- Miyazawa Kenji Museum A memorial hall for Kenji Miyazawa, who was born in Hanamaki and wrote fairytales and poems. In addition to exhibiting Kenji's favorite cello and manuscripts, this facility allows you to experience Kenji's life through images and music.
- Takamura Kotaro Museum
See the famous sculptures "Hand" and "Otome no Zo Medium-sized prototype" of sculptor Kotaro Takamura. In addition, you can experience his worldview by viewing an exhibit of his materials which were left behind after he evacuated to Hanamaki and took up residence during the war.
- Kiyomizu-dera
Together with its counterparts in Kyoto and Yashiro, Hyogo Prefecture, Kiyomizu-dera Temple is one of three Kiyomizu-dera Temples in Japan.
It rose to fame when the general Sakanoue no Tamuramaro placed the Eleven Faced Avalokitesvara Sutra (Guanyin) in the 2nd year of the early Daidō era of the Heian period (807 A.D). It is a temple whose main gods are the Eleven Faced Avalokitesvara Sutra (Guanyin) and Fudo Myoo (the Immovable One). - MLB All-Star Game Monument

To commemorate the pick of Shohei Ohtani and Yusei Kikuchi as pitchers for the 2021 MLB All-Start Game, the “2021 MLB All-Star Game Monument” was presented to their alma mater Hanamaki Higashi High School.
- The Hayachine and Miyazawa Kenji Museum
It is a reproduction of the former Hienuki District Office, and is said to have been modeled on Kenji Miyazawa's fairytale, “The Cat's Office”. The museum contains exhibits of works by Hayachine and Miyazawa Kenji, as well as molybdenum ore from Mount Nekoyama, which is said to have been the setting for Kaze no Matasaburo. Visitors can also see a reconstruction of the former Ishikawa Inn, which Miyazawa often stayed at.
- The Hanamaki Nitobe Museum
It is a place where you can learn about the origin and career of the Nitoto family, and of Nitoto Inazo, an active internationalist “who expected himself to be the bridge across the Pacific”. Here you can witness the world of Nitoto Inazo who devoted his life to international peace and education.
